When she was a participant in various sports at high school and in university, Taft determined to make a go of it as reporter. Taft has graduated from Boston University in broadcast journalism with a major in the reporting of sports and regional affiliation, began her career working for Fox Sports North. In addition to working on sports coverage, she was employed as both a social-media contributor as well as call host. She was soon bumped into working for Fox Sports 1 as part of their News and Highlights team. Under FS1 Taft covered many reputed championships, and also reported on these on the ground.
